I'm not where you got your information but these are facts. So an i7 is a much better choice for gaming or for any program that can utilize four cores of a processor. An i5 has two cores, with 4-way processing. Every intel i3, i5, and i7 chips have hyperthreading. There is a serious distinction between the i5 and i7.
